Engagement: Consultancy contract for 3 months, with possibility of extension for an additional 3 months

About ISOREA

ISOREA AB is a Swedish medtech company developing innovative diagnostic technologies for the early detection of Alzheimer's disease.

We are currently developing a chromatography-based diagnostic platform and are looking for an experienced Software Development Project Manager / Technical Lead to lead the software development during the next project phase.

We welcome applications from individual consultants as well as consultancy firms.

The Role

The consultant will take technical responsibility for developing the software required to process and analyse chromatography data.

The initial objective is to develop a functional solution that can:

Import chromatography data → Process chromatograms → Identify relevant features → Perform analysis → Generate results

The longer-term strategy is to develop a secure, centralized analysis platform where laboratories upload instrument-generated data to a central server and receive automatically processed results. This will allow ISOREA to centrally manage analytical algorithms, software versions, data, quality control and security.

The initial solution should therefore be designed with this future architecture in mind.

Key Responsibilities

Translate scientific requirements into software specifications and development plans.
Lead the software architecture and development of the chromatography analysis solution.
Develop or supervise development of data-processing and analytical pipelines.
Define acceptance criteria, testing and validation procedures.
Coordinate and supervise developers or subcontractors where required.
Design the transition from the initial application/plug-in to a centralized server-based platform.
Contribute to database, API, cloud/server and cybersecurity architecture.
Ensure the software is documented, maintainable and scalable.
Work closely with ISOREA's scientific, R&D and management teams.

Required Experience

Strong software engineering background.
Experience leading technical projects from requirements to delivery.
Experience with data-processing pipelines and software architecture.
Experience with databases and APIs.
Ability to work independently and coordinate developers/contractors.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Valuable Experience

Experience with:

Laboratory instruments or scientific software
Chromatography or analytical data
Python, C/C++, JavaScript/TypeScript or similar
SQL/PostgreSQL
Docker and cloud platforms such as AWS/GCP/Azure
Data validation and quality-control pipelines
Secure server-based applications
Medical/IVD software

Contract

The initial engagement is for 3 months, with the possibility of extending the contract for a further 3 months, depending on project progress and requirements.

The start date is flexible and the position will be filled as soon as a suitable consultant or consultancy firm is identified. ISOREA therefore reserves the right to close the recruitment and enter into a contract before the stated application deadline.

ISOREA AB Secures €2.5 Million in Non-Dilutive Funding to Accelerate Alzheimer’s Blood Test Development

ISOREA AB is pleased to announce that it has been awarded approximately 25 million SEK (€2.5 million) in non-dilutive soft funding from the Bulgarian Ministry of Innovation and Growth, through its wholly owned subsidiary ISOREA Bulgaria EOOD. The funding was granted under the “Research, Innovation and Digitalisation for Smart Transformation” programme, following ISOREA’s Seal of Excellence from the EIC Accelerator.

This funding marks a significant milestone for ISOREA and will substantially accelerate the development and clinical validation of the company’s early Alzheimer’s disease risk detection blood test, while meaningfully reducing both technical and investment risk.

The achievement reflects the strong leadership and dedication of ISOREA’s CEO/VD, Dr. Sourav Prasanna Mukherjee, and COO, Dr. Sanchali Gupta, as well as the close and effective collaboration with ISOREA’s Bulgarian partner New-I, led by Mr. Anton Todorov and Ms. Zhechka Kalinova.

As part of this development, Dr. Sanchali Gupta has been appointed Managing Director of ISOREA Bulgaria EOOD by the ISOREA AB Board, led by Chairperson Prof. Roman Zubarev. She will oversee the execution of the funded project with the support of the broader ISOREA team.

With this funding secured, ISOREA is well positioned to advance its diagnostic programs toward market readiness. The company welcomes interest from investors seeking to participate in the next phase of ISOREA’s growth.

ISOREA has been Awarded the Eureka Eurostars Grant!

We are thrilled to announce that ISOREA AB, in collaboration with Karolinska Institutet and Davids Biotechnologie GmbH , has been awarded a prestigious Eureka Eurostars grant and the project will start from April 2025! This achievement represents a major step forward in our mission to revolutionise Alzheimer’s Disease detection by identifying the risks 6–10 years before noticeable symptoms develop and are possible to treat at this stage.

Eurostars is highly regarded for fostering collaborative and market-focused R&D initiatives, and we are privileged to join this dynamic community of innovators Eureka Network. This grant will accelerate our efforts in advancing research and expanding the application of our antibodies for early risk detection of Alzheimer’s Disease.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to our CEO, Sourav Pr. Mukherjee, Ph.D., for leading the consortium and coordinating this remarkable project, as well as to Professor Roman Zubarev from Karolinska Institutet and Dr. Michael Davids from Davids Biotechnologie for their invaluable contributions. ISOREA Received EIC Seal of Excellence!

ISOREA was awarded the European Innovation Council (EIC) Seal of Excellence for our EIC Accelerator application in July 2024. Although we were not granted funding due to EIC budget constraints. However, this prestigious recognition enhances our opportunities to secure funding and investments from alternative sources.

ISOREA AB received investment from Linnéa Capital AB

ISOREA AB is very happy to announce that we have received an investment from Linnéa Capital AB. This investment will help ISOREA AB to start its IVDR application procedure of the KIT designed to detect Early Alzheimer's by a sensitive and affordable blood test.

Our KIT has the potential to detect Alzheimer's disease at Early stage or Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) stage and thereby helping patients to start medical interventions using new age drugs developed by other providers for patients at MCI stage. This KIT is also vital for blood screening at the Blood Banks before transfusion to the recipients, as a preventative measure from receiving isoaspartate containing bad albumin.
